Pi‘ilani Hawaiian Civic Club of Colorado presents its annual summertime Ho‘olaule‘a: Hawai‘i, Moku o Keawe.
Hosted by the Highlands Ranch Metro District, this festival celebrating Hawaiian and Polynesian culture and history happens Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Blvd. in Highlands Ranch, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The festival will feature Hawaiian and Polynesian music and performances of hula, Samoan, and Tahitian dance; enriching educational intermissions onstage; merchandise, information, and food booths; and keiki (children’s) activities.
Renowned musician and hula master Chinky Mahoe, Kumu Hula of Merrie Monarch-award-winning Hālau Kawaili‘ulā and legendary Hawaiian slack key artist George Kahumoku, Jr. will be performing onstage and teaching a limited number of classes during the day.
Ho‘olaule‘a is free and open to the public and all are welcome. However, pets are not allowed.
